In observance of the laws of the Jewish Sabbath, which occurs from sundown Friday to one hour after sundown Saturday, Orthodox Jews do not, among other things, drive a car or ride a bicycle. As a result, we need to live within a reasonable walking distance to a Jewish Orthodox synagogue, or "Shul", in order to attend prayer services during the Sabbath. As you can imagine, this significantly limits our choices as to where we can live, and why it can be challenging to find available properties.
